NTR Biopic is undoubtedly the most eagerly awaited biopic of the Telugu audience. The biopic has been made into two parts. While the first part ‘Kathanayakudu’ deals with the journey of NTR as an actor, the second part ‘Mahanayakudu’ deals with the political career of TDP founder.
Story: Everybody knows the story of the legendary NTR but the movie has certain limitations so they have started from the time when NTR was doing his first job as sub-registrar at Vijayawada. As acting bug caught him, he leaves his job and goes to Chennai aspiring for a career in films. The major events of his film career were shown in the film. The film ends with NTR announcing the formation of Telugu Desam party.
Performances: Balayya did a fantastic job as aged NTR and all his getups are near to perfection. But he couldn’t impress as young 20-year-old NTR because of his advanced age. Vidya Balan did her best. Rana, Sumanth Kalyanram, Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Kaikala, Nitya Menen, Rakul Preet Singh, Hansika, Krish, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore etc. actors have done a good job.
Technical: MM Keeravani delivered the best output once again. He has not only impressed with the songs but his background score took the film to the next level. Gnanasekhar’s cinematography is very good. Production values are rich. Editing could have been done better.
Analysis: On the whole Krish directorial offers a tribute to the legendary Telugu actor and darling of Telugu people. Though there are not many up and downs in his film career, Krish and his team done a good job to engage the audience. Sai Madhav Burra’s dialogues are very good.
