Telangana BJP leader and Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh made sensational comments that BJP will change the name of Hyderabad city to Bhagyanagar. He claimed that if BJP comes to power in the state and the party will also change the names of Secunderabad and Karimnagar as well.
While speaking about the historical name of Bhagyanagar, he said that “The name of the city was Bhagyanagar initially. It was changed to Hyderabad by Quli Qutub Shah in 1590 when he came to the city. Hindus were attacked at that time and temples were destroyed. We will rename it as Bhagyanagar.” He exuded confidence that BJP will win the elections.
