Superstar Rajinikanth’s latest film ‘2.0’ is one of the highest budget films ever made in India till now. Lyca productions reportedlyy spent Rs. 450 crores on the film directed by star director Shankar. The movie became a much bigger project with the addition of Bollywood star hero Akshay Kumar. The makers have already announced that they will release the movie on November 29.
Suprisingly, there are reports in the Kollywood media that the movie may not make it to the scheduled release date. They are saying that the pending work is taking much more time than the expected and the makers are not sure about the release date. Then what about November 29? Actually, ‘2.0’ was supposed to be release in Diwali. The date was pushed to Republic Day this year. It was further delayed to summer. As the pressure was mounting on the producers from the distributors who payed huge amounts of advance, they have come up with the November 29 as per the Kollywood media.
The reports further say that the makers didn’t even release the teaser, trailer and they didn’t kickstart the promotions of any kind though the release date is just 90 days away. The movie is not like any other commercial flick, it has to beat ‘Baahubali’ to become a profitable venture. So.. they have to promote vigorously for the huge opening collections. Let wait and see what happens.
